72' Jimmy/Blazer Frame Horns

So one of my PO had cut off the frame horns on my 72' Jimmy so that he could install his precious step bumper. I would like to put the stock bumper back on and need the a small section of each side of the rear frame that includes the horns. Will pay good $$. Thanks in advance. Martin

I need frame horns too. What I did for a work around for now is to use pickup brackets and modify them. I had to cut off the ends by the fuel tank and make some clearance for the body mount bushing.

Re: 72' Jimmy/Blazer Frame Horns

Let me check later today to see if the suburban rear horns are the same as the 72 blazer/Jimmy. If they are I should have several sets and will post them up. How far back do you need?

I would want 1 foot to be on the safe side but will double check once my Jimmy is back from the alignment and muffler shop. I will do research to see if they are the same as well. If anyone on the Forum knows, please feel free to chime in. Thanks. Martin

Re: 72' Jimmy/Blazer Frame Horns

Just so odd to me that GM would alter so many things including K5 rear frame horns specifically for the 72 model year when the body style was slated to change.

Odd to me as well Pete— especially given the debut of the successor square body which I think was supposed to debut in 72

Bump with some incentive. Will pay $100 plus shipping--not sure if that is a fair price or not but will adjust price upward accordingly from time to time if it is not. Thanks. Martin

Bumping the price to $125 (plus shipping) to further incentivize anyone who has this part. Thanks in advance. Martin

Luckily, my frame is good. BUMP for the surprisingly unobtanium 72' frame horns.

I too am looking for rear frame horns for my 1972 blazer. PO cut them off for a roll pan and I want to go back to a stock bumper.

Re: 72' Jimmy/Blazer Frame Horns

Here’s what I got. They are about 10-1/2”.

As you can see the hole for the trailer hitch “i think” is emerged by rust on the one. Other than that they are solid.
