We should have a FOTM (Frame of the month) competition!

In my case...its never done...even thought frames done...body work done...motor done....painted....trans done....there is always something you wish you had for it...or even wish you done, So you are never done.

Re: Frame owners:It`s gonna be a truck

Alright, two frames we haven`t seen yet.And from the guy I bought my short frame from.Rob,you`re not new to this rolling frame thing, that`s for sure.It may seem the frame hasn`t made progress, but alot of off frame stuff has been coming together since I`ve had it.Matter of fact. The frame was going up under a`72 shortbed I already had so I could build something else off the`72 frame.I sold that truck and am using up what I had,for the most part.

Re: Frame owners:It`s gonna be a truck

67swbcamo, that is one sweet engine hoist, and a nice chassis, too!

Here are a few of mine. The bare frame is a 68 SWB. the roller is a 72 SWB. The 71 4x4 1/2 ton LWB is soon to be bare. All three are for sale. There is also a 72 LWB that I bought for my brother to replace the tweaked frame under his72 Cheyenne. It will get an LT1, 4l60E and 8.5 rear axle with discs out of his wrecked 94 Caprice 9C1 cop car

Re: Frame owners:It`s gonna be a truck

Here is mine. I hope to fit the motor/tranny and blazer tank, then on the trailer to powdercoat.

Question - Theones that have powdercoated the frames, I presume you did your diffs and springs too? If so, I presume you break the springs down? How far do you tear the diffs down? Do you pull axles and carriers and only send the housings?

Thanks,
Mike
