Original big block radiator?

I have this radiator from my 72 c-20 which came with big block from the factory.
Wondering if this is an original equipment radiator or aftermarket of sorts.
It says crag mfg. on the top stamping and core tag.
It also has Harrison stamped into the pass side tank.
Which I thought was usually original equipment.

Re: Original big block radiator?

i think what you have are factory tanks and an aftermarket re-cored core.i have a big block 72 built at the Fremont,Ca plant and there's no tag from Craig Mfg on my core from original.there is a tag full of numbers soldered to the tank on the pass side a little ways down from the rad cap.i can get you a picture of that tag if it helps.here's my rad after i re-cored it.how many rows of tubes in your rad?mine was 3 rows and that's how i re-did it,could've been 4 though.

I think you're correct with being re-cored. It didn't make sense that it says craig mfg.
Mine is four rows and it looks a lot like yours. I'd be willing to bet yours is also 4 rows.

hi,mine was 3 rows which surprised me in a big block,A/C truck from California.the tanks and the saddles the rad sat in could accomodate a 4 row core but i made it 3 like it was.more an adequate i thought.i went and looked at the tag from my rad.it has a bunch of numbers, and what looks like a GM part number but nothing about Craig or any other manufacturer.take care.Greg.

I will try to look at some original radiators, but I think your radiator is original.
