Re: Started on the new interior this week

More work on the truck this weekend. SB Customes made sub box's for me and they look very cool.. Making a cover over the air tank in the back at this point, should have that finished next week.

Have a happy Holiday..

Looks cool. I assume the plan is to leave the tank and valves exposed while covering all the ugly parts. Is the cover going to be rounded to match the flow of the sub panels?

What kind of sound deadening material did you use of your floor? Any info. How much did you use. Thinking about getting some fatmat.

Re: Started on the new interior this week

just a thought for your tanks etc.. while building them throw a few L.E.D.'s in there to light it up at night and give you some acset lighting.

But i have to ask how you did the hitch cover on the door pannels.

I also need to build a door pannel on my 86 truck. Would like to add a bow tie simular to yours there.

Re: Started on the new interior this week

copperchevy: Here you go, it's B-Quiet and I used 100 sq ft B-Quiet Extreme and I only had to put out $130.. Works very good.

http://www.b-quiet.com/products.html

4X4 Mickey: I May get to that down the road on the acset lighting, but for now I need to get it back on the road. Thanks for the help..

Door panels hitch cover: First thing take the hitch plate off and then I had to find fome so I could build it up so it would look flat and give it that look like it was made for the door panel. It is very easy to do..

Thanks,
Trav

Re: Started on the new interior this week

has anyone done this in a reg. cab truck? If so do you know the sq. footage?

i forget how to figure the sq. footage of a area.
But would not mind doing this in mine also. would help with out side noise as much as inside stereo interferance and sounding better.

Re: Started on the new interior this week

Like tvBlazer78 said, I bet there are many threads on this topic. For my C10 I used FatMat. I bought a 100sq. ft. off Ebay, it was cheaper than their website and I used about 30 to 35 sq. ft. I think. I have the rest for my other projects. I really like the way it conforms and sticks on very well. I used the roller included in the box, but broke it fairly easily. I then used a large deep socket and rolled the contours on the floor. I have some pics of it here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hikingd...7594445283108/

also here is the fatmat site. http://www.fatmat.com/

Might be worth comparing.

Damn that thing is looking awesome! I thought the brown(ish) carpet was going to be a bad choice but it looks great. What speakers and amps are you running?
