Still gotta plumb the brake lines now, should be a crime to hide them behind the wheels!

its not tig welded, just a pattern done by a cnc machine that gives it a tig look. just an option that billet specilties wheels offer.

I have a trick flow cam 270/276 lsa 112. I was going to go with a cam from straub 280/288 lsa 109 ( should be more of a radical idle for what Iam looking for) both cams are hydraulic. as for a carb , I have a demon 750 that i had rebuilt a few years back but Iam goin with a 850 carb from the guys over at AED.

current set up
454 .60 over 4.310 bore 2 main block
4.00" eagle crank 4340
egale 4340 rods
trick flow rollers ( but going instead with morel rollers)
280 trickflow aluminum heads oval ports
single plane intake oval (but goin to get a dual plane on it for better street manners)
balancer ( i still need to get but not sure which to get)
probe pistons right around 11:1 compression

Just a concern, that big of a carb for the compression ratio may run a bit rich.

I thought the same, and still kinda thinking the same as you. those guys over at AED carbs said 850 is good, I asked wouldn't the 750 be more responsive, he said yes but I will be leaving some HP on the table if I went with the 750. But as I sit here and type I am thinking I rather have the better throttle response since Its only a street driven truck and will never see the track. It will probably still have plenty of HP for the street with the 750. What you think morrie?

I would sacrifice a little HP at WOT for better mileage and drivability on the street.

Re: slammed 57

For drivability I’d stay with a 112 LSA cam. A 109 will be lopy but will idle poorly n will have low vacuum. 109 is boarder line street/strip. I’d investigate to make sure it’s what you want

my .02 worth is you won't need the top end HP, only being on the street and throttle response and a better running engine that will run cleaner is a better choice. is that 850 a double pumper?

the cam in it now is a 112lsa. Iam still goin with the 109lsa just because I love the way it sounds.... If I get tired of it I can always throw the 112 back in. I do appreciate bud
