I got all of the truck sanded this weekend and is all ready for paint. Hopefuly in the next 2 weekends we will paint it. Today we chose the interior colors. Im going with a medium grey and imperial blue and charcoal carpet and grey dash. Sending the seat off to be redone hopefully this week.

got the truck almost painted!spraying the blue and clear tomorow. today we got in the booth put a black base on it then sprayed the silver

tomorow morning going back to the shop to lay out some lines and spray the blue. blue on top silver in the middle blue on bottom. there will will be a silver/blue pinstripe spliting the 2 colors.

Damn, that's some professional work! Painting the underside of the hood, fine details under the hood and the way the interior cabin was sprayed. Is the bodyshop friends of yours bc that is PROFESSIONAL! How did u sand down the meatl carb cover and what kind of paint did u use?

Looks awesome.

ya matter fact it was wrecked twice and totaled out each time!! My dad does autobody for a living and he has taught me alot on this build!! its been a fun expereince but im nowhere near finnished ive gotta get interior done and get some parts ordered in.

Wow, looks good man! Is that an Iwata extreme basecoat gun you are using? Good job choosing colors. The metallics match very well. Looks very good. You buying Dad dinner for this one?

i just scuffed around on it with some 320 and used a rattle can glossy black. i might redo it again.

im not sure on the gun it was my dads friend that jumped in and painted the truck. but its a pretty nice gun he is also a bodyman at the shop who drove the wrecker and use to paint. my dad was plannin to paint it but.. owell! he did a awesome job layin it down. no runs and not much trash in it hardly!

haha ya him being a bodyman gave us alot of benefits on sandpaper, bondo, USING THE BOOTH! etc. But he has a 64 1/2 mustang coupe 289 we are going to finnish restoring after the truck.. It is in the background on some pictures holding all the truck parts.
