To avoid the stupid offers I say "It could be for sale - if you are serious and know what they're worth you can make an offer, but you probably can't afford it."

Never have - but I was pleased to get mine in such great running shape for way less than 7K

Re: how many times has someone offered cash for your truck?

I've been asked a few times at Car Shows and had a couple if notes from the same person, which I ignored. I sold the Panther Pink 70 Charger R/T in my avatar 2 years after I completed a 6 year resto and 20 years later I'm still trying to figure out why. When I bought the truck I said it was a keeper so I tell everyone that asks if it is for sale that it'll be in my estate and you can buy it then.

Re: how many times has someone offered cash for your truck?

Before I decided to take mine to the bodyshop for restoration I had several try to buy it and it was pretty beat but ran and drove great .Its now been in the shop for 2 1/2 years and they are finally making progress on it and people that visit the shop ask if its for sale .It will NOT be sold by me if it ever sells ,too much heartache went into this build for me to ever part with it. I have had many want to buy my 74 barnfind stepper and I will let it go when the 72 comes home from the shop.

Re: how many times has someone offered cash for your truck?

I met a guy over the weekend that has a nice 71. I would guess it would sell on CL for around 8... maybe 10k to the right buyer. He actually drives around with a for sale sign on it that says 26k. He said he knows the truck is no where near worth that, but if someone was to offer it....lol

None yet on my current truck... I had a 70 that I kicked myself almost daily for letting it go. This one is my keeper...
