Tennessee trash & Mississippi mud,, luv it..

We took a few days off last week, did the Six Flags deal with the grandkids,, then went prowlin'. On Friday, we picked up the 70 shrt wide in north central tennessee,, hence, Tennesse trash. No disrespect meant to our friends from down there,, we always enjoy ourselves in your part of the country. saturday, we slipped down into Mississippi and picked up Mississippi Mud, another 70 swb. Probably going to take the two and make one, or, tune up the Tennessee truck and flip it and keep the Mississippi truck, or, clean them both up and send them down the road, or,,,,,???? Who knows..

rims and bumpers are the quickest way to tell them apart and the second one has no mirrors, its like one of those mirrored images in the news paper where you have to circle whats different from the original pic lol

The bad thing is, of all 8 wheels, there isn't one we want to keep or use. I mean, come on, white spokes and directionals?

Re: Tennessee trash & Mississippi mud,, luv it..

The plan for today is to get Tennesse Trash running a little bit better. It does run, but that is all we will call it. Going to try and do a little to the interior if we can as well. wanting to have this ready to send down the road in about two weeks. Wish me luck. Dig the cup holders....

Re: Tennessee trash & Mississippi mud,, luv it..

It is by no means show quality,, maybe not even driver quality yet,, but it is an improvement. Pressure washer, Castrol Super Clean, whitewall cleaner, aluminum brite and some new hose and an air filter.. MUCH BETTER.... haven't even thought about the interior yet,,, really dreading it..

Re: Tennessee trash & Mississippi mud,, luv it..

We plan to. The one on the trailer, with no engine, is the better of the two. Planning on cleaning this one up, tuning it a little and finding it a new home. Going to try to get around $1500.00 out of it,,, I hope.

Re: Tennessee trash & Mississippi mud,, luv it..

mine is or was lol a 1969 gmc with a 292 I6 three on the tree, needed fenders, both doors rotted, both box panels and front panel were all rotted out where the wood bolts to, needed both cab corners, both rockers po welded new ones over old ones and looked bad, floor pan work po messed with that and looked horrible, he also put new cab supports on it but judging by his other work those need to be redone too lol i hd originally bought it for the frame and box but box was worse than i thought

$1500 ? i dont know what kinda voodoo you worked but you must have stolen it! Well I did get mine for $980 ish but it had more rust than steel and the "rebuilt" 327 was a smoke dog 283. That was over 5 years ago when I bought mine. You must have gotten a real good price, Nice score. Wish I could find shorties cheap around here.

Re: Tennessee trash & Mississippi mud,, luv it..

We always check the Tulsa craigslist. Looking for a good reason to go see my friends on Lake Eufaula. At least if the truck is a dud, we can go to Krebbs and eat at Giocomos. Got the trash truck running sooo much better this evening. Amazing what new plugs AND putting the wires to the correct cylinders will do. I was really happy with how well it smoothed out.. Hope the next owner is as impressed as we were... Low budget is the way to go.
