1994 Chevy Silverado, heater A/C controls work but panel is dark.
I have replaced the heater A/C controller about 3 years ago with a new one from Chevy. It has worked but occasionally the panel did not light up. Now it never lights up. I checked the brown wire and read wire that plugs into the unit. The red wire for battery is always hot, and the brown wire is hot when the switch is on. Again, not lights in the panel.

Re: 1994 Chevy Silverado, heater A/C controls work but panel is dark.
My heater a/c control works the system fine, but the display panel is totally blank. I just installed it new from GM about 3 years ago. The screen has always gone blank from time to time, but now it never shows anything. I have checked the wires coming to it and the read battery wire is hot all the time; the brown wire above it is hot when the switch is on. Does anyone have any ideas what to check next?
