Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Heres mine...

2 1/2" dropped spindles with 1 and 1/4 coils cut off of the front.

Jeep springs with 2" blocks in the back.

I'm currently looking for a suburban chassis to stuff all this into. Wish me luck!

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

I need to find out what stock height is on our trucks. Could someone (or maybe a few of you to get an average) with stock suspension measure from the center of your wheel to the lip of the fenders front and rear. I bought my truck lowered and need to redo the suspension but I want to return to the same stance so I need to know how much it’s lowered.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

i cut two coils off the front and took off the bump stop. in the rear its step notched ,two inch blocks and cut spring, i know it sounds crazy but a few guys told me on hear jeep springs and cut . i had g body springs i cut them in half and tryed them on , then cut another half a turn. so i have it bolted to the trailing arm with like a turn and a half total. not my idea but i seams to work good (smooth)

Front - Lower control arms stepped 1-1/2" + 3" CPP drop springs.

Rear - Manual-fill air-bags(Airlift D6000s with schraeder valves) and homemade 2" c-notch.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Front - cut 1 1/2 coil and zipped off the bump stop brackets
Rear- removed 5 of the 8 leaf springs.

Like most others, I forgot to put the tape from ground to center of wheel well before dropping to get the actual inch of drop. damn

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Ok so I have to ask.... for those running Jeep coils.... and please be honest.... hows the ride quality? Ive heard its not bad.... but you just cant haul anything is that true? Im thinking of a 5.5/7 static drop for the 66 and this is an option....
