drum brake ques

drums (hate em), on the adjustment on the drivers side is it crank it up to loosen or down? The other side is opposite, right?

When you turn the ratchet pawl (little wheel) and you hear clicking, then its spreading the shoes apart, ie. tightening. To loosen you have to lift the little arm off the wheel and turn the wheel the other way.
