IMO, you may as well shoot black primer over a good primer/sealer coat, looks the same and you're ready to go when you realize you want a real paint job...

flames on flat paint? .......... no.

Well here is my old hooptie that will soon look as good as my avatar

It still needs a cowl hood etc.

BTW Im getting the old 6 lug 15x8 rally sand blasted so disreguard the junk wheels that came on the truck

And a flat black bug that is in the works with a 2017cc engine comming.
And here in NC cinder blocks seem to work better than the jackstands

I will post some pics of it as it comes also for the people that like BUGS!

I dont think id do it as a finished project, but nothings cooler than a project with Hot Rod black DP90 epoxy primer, and it seals out the elements other than regular primers that absorb moisture.flames no

Those flames look cool, gives me an idea for my truck. Not trying to point out bad things about your truck, (don't get me wrong, I like your truck) is that a hole in the side of your box?

thanks, she actually used some cheap sign paint and thinned it out to spray it through a gun, she was so scared that she would screw it up, i was like " what could you screw up, its already junk" lol. actually when we painted those flames the truck was in gray primer, about a year later we masked them off and sprayed it black, then went back and outlined the flames with a light blue. and yes that is a big nasty rot hole in the box, goes nicely with the dent in the door and the rotted out rockers and cab. ha ha.
