1977 Sierra Build

Hey guys I've been on this forum for quite some time now. I joined when I was 15 (23 now) and I bought my 77 Sierra. It was bone stock at the time but had a crate 350 with 800 miles on it which I figured was a perfect starting point. The truck had no rust and was very well taken care of. Anyways I worked on the truck daily and drove it through high school until I turned 18 and the "import" bug hit me and I picked up my first honda and parked the truck for which would turn out to be 5 years. Then the "off road" bug bit and I traded the honda for a lifted 4runner. Finally the "turbo all wheel drive" bug and bought a brand new wrx. All of these cars were fun and I invested way too much money in, but it just never felt right, I missed my truck. 5 years 3 totally different style cars but I just wasn't happy. So I sold the wrx and went and picked up my truck that had been sitting neglected for way too long. Im back now for good and gonna finish this project that I started 8 years ago.

Unfortunately my computer crashed and I lost almost all my pictures but from now on I will be documenting my progress as I go along.

Here is one from when I was about 16 or 17 with my first set of wheels 17's, first lowering 5/7 and beginning bodywork.

Then I upgraded to 20's, lowered a lil more, got a cowl hood, shaved the door handles, emblems, drip rails, bed stake holes, cab seam and started the tailgate.

And here it is as of yesterday got 2 replacement doors cause I want the handles back and finished the tailgate. Im going for a clean looking appearance, nothing to custom.

.

This is the color and look im going for, (not my truck hope the owner doesn't mind)

And thats it sorry for the long story just thought I'd give a brief history of the truck and how its come to this point. I'll make sure to keep updating as I make progress.

Looks good! Make sure to keep the original style front end on it.

Naw I've decided to go with a clean single color. Keep the exterior simple with a few custom touches.

First 2 are right before it went to the painters and the last 2 are some teaser pics from the painter. I should be picking it up this afternoon ill post more pics when I get it.

Re: 1977 Sierra Build

Little update, got the back window in and have begun on the interior. Got the wiring cleaned up and painted the dash. Fatmat and new carpet should arrive this week so I can wrap up the interior and move on to the engine.
