New to here!

well im new to the website and im kinda new to working on trucks. i bought this 63 from my uncle, he has owned it for over 30 years. i havent ever really wanted a truck to work on, but i figured it would be a change from the normal projects. it needs alot of work, rust in the normal spots i guess, but i ready to start working on it.

Re: New to here!

Your problem wasn't "not wanting a truck to work on" lol, it was all those Pony cars taking up room in your garage!

Welcome to the forum....and once you have an old truck for a project, its hard to go back to a car. Hot rod project + ability to carry parts, luggage etc = priceless.
IMO all it took was loading a bed full of gear and taking a 50 year old truck a few thousand miles...you never recover from that.

welcome. the engine looks like a late 70s early 80s dodge 318. Thats also what the seats seem to be from.

Re: New to here!

Thanks guys, well the stangs are staying around for a while. I had a 74 Chevy truck lwb but it was just a driver, I didn't want to fix it up. I wont ever get cars out of my system, they are just to fun to drive. The motor is a 318 from a dodge, which is not staying, don't know what the seats are from. When my uncle first got the truck it didn't have a motor in it and he had that 318 in the shed so him and my grandpa decided to put it in. We'll see how it goes.

Re: New to here!

thanks for all the welcomes.

well i did let this chevy slip into the driveway but its still surrounded by 5 fords, im far from ever becoming a chevy man. if the ponys leave there will be a new ford truck filling that spot.
