That truck looks great! I need a fuel door like that for my bed also. Where did you get yours. Is it a good quality? I keep seeing junk ones online.

Beautiful truck!!!
You are correct, I am still thinking about the 20" billett ralleys. I have been leaning towards the 18" as of late as I can get a drag radial on there for a little traction. I was trying to get it done for that show but did not make it in time. I will have it at the Spokane Goodguys show on the 18th of Aug.

I will get some pics tonight of the motor as I have some more polishing to do on it.

Thanks for all the kind words on this. It has been a long and stressfull project.

Great looking truck...all the way around!.
Any comments or tricks on making an aftermarket cowl hood & grill fit? It sure looks good...better than most.
You were considering CST/buddy buckets. I think they would still be a nice extra touch.

Frank, After quite of bit of work we got he hood to go good and this grill I got from you seemed to fit fairly close with out a whole of of fuss. I was considering the buddy buckets but not sure yet. I also thought about doing a set of buckets with a center console and a flor shift or maybe even a R6 speed manual.

I was not able to get engine shots tonight as promised as I went up to a local cruise and stayed there until dark. I will get some posted soon.

Impressive machine and craftsmanship my friend! Did that first drive make all the frustration of building it worthwhile? I remember times when I would wish I had never seen or bought my K10 due to the grief it was causing me!

I hear hear you see ten. I began to wonder why at times. After the drive I forgot about most of them. I have a couple of more little issues and then hopefull just enjoy. I will be showing it in its first show this weekend. It is the Goodguys Northwest Nationals here in Spokane. I should know this weekend how everyone else likes it as well. Thanks for the compliments.

Re: 71 Short Box project now on the road.

It is not to bad. The supercharger is a little diifferent than a blower so it has to spool up like a turbo. I do not start seeing boost until around 3000 rpm. It loves it gas stations however. It makes it fun, at 40mph you can stand on it and it will leave a patch that looks like someone just took off.

Once again, awesome job! Also, thanks for the Goodguys Spokane pics in your other post, wish I was there to have a look at your truck, but hope to see it next year in Puyallup.

Re: 71 Short Box project now on the road.

Have you had a chance to run it at the track yet? If not, think you'll make it this year?

Not yet at the track. I have ran against a few this weekend after the goodguys show. It pulls like a raped ape (when you get traction). I will be geting it out there just not sure when. I am thinking after the next high school drags as they run the street racing and use the lights. Ihave not done a cage yet so on this night you do not have to retech after you run so they will not kick me off. I have my slicks ready to go and we are thinking in the 10.70 to 10.90 range
