compression

My supposedly stock '94 350 has 180 psi in 7 cylinders, and 185 on 1. Per Chilton, compression ratio is 9.1.
This seams high; engine carboned up?
The procedure I followed was to remove all plugs, then crank engine over 3 compression strokes, recording all three (generally 130psi, 150psi, then 180psi).
Any oppinions as to wether these numbers are normal for an engine with 50,000 miles?
Thanks, Roger.

with the tiny cams in these engines (just like my '95 Yukon) those numbers are probably in the ballpark of stock. I hate to admit I've never shecked mine in 6 years.....
