Its Done!!!

Well it is never Done. But It is looking good. I wanted to say thanks to all that support this forum. There is so much info here and the support from members is second to none. I would have never been able to do so much of the work myself without this forum. It took 2 years to do from engine to body work. Never out of commission for more that a few weeks at a time. It is a daily driver/ work truck. Kinda looks like a old man truck but I like it. She starts everyday and is easy to get along with. All that is left is a 2" lift and some tires. THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!

Thumbs up Re: Its Done!!!

Good job, that turned out really nice! I appreciate a clean stock or near-stock look on these rigs. Old man truck? Well maybe so, but it sure looks great to this old man!

Re: Its Done!!!

I like that it looks like it is STILL ready to provide a days work, able to compete with younger and supposedly more advanced versions of "modern" pickups.

While it is decidedly nice, it also still looks like a truck, fit for plywood haulin', trailer haulin', and general manly type behavior.......

Fine job.....looks like it's ready for ANOTHER 40 years of service....

Any idea on how big your tires are gonna end up being and are you using the current rims on those tires?

I would like to use the same rims and go as wide and tall as I can. With a 2" lift maybe a 32 tire??? I am not good at tire sizes. Will go to tire shop and roll some out to see how it looks. Any suggestions are always welcome.

You can easily fit a 32" to 33" tall tire with a 2" lift... but I wouldn't go too wide, especially with those wheels. Are they 15" or 16", and do you know the rim width?

They are 15" Rallies. Not sure on the width. If I went with a 32" tire and a 2" lift would that be enough tire to fill the wheel wells? Just cant visualize it. Need some pics to see.

What size tires do you have on there now? I actually like the look of those rallies.

My truck has a pearl and metallic in it and does the same thing in the light and the shade, the PO took a pic of the truck and the sun hit it just right and made it look pink lol he used that as a pic on craigslist for a long time an it threw me off of wanting it because it looked pink and pink was the last color i wanted but he sent me more pics and after seing it in different shades i really liked it and looks better in person im just going to hate when i have to paint parts on it again because theres no codes for it and it has pearl and metallic in it . But i love how they change color during the day because of how the sun hits it. I really like that blue it goes well with the rest of the truck.
