One thing I've noticed that everyone has mentioned is how the stinky gas smell they got with their carburetors is gone.

Cause they didn't have the carb tuned correctly lol. I would say most if not all people are idling rich. Unless they tune with a AFR gauge. EFI atomizes fuel better getting a cleaner full burn. Also being able set your idle AFR at stoich 14.7 makes a big difference that a advantage of the EFI kit.

I really don't see any reason why they won't continue to go down in price.
And I expect the technology is going to get better.

I seen posts where others are talking about hooking it up for timing and are wondering what distributor to use.
I've seen posts of people asking if they can use their ignition system with it.
I've seen posts where people plan on doing the timing only after they run the EFI for a while to make sure they don't have problems.
I've seen posts of people saying they are using the timing control.
But to think of it I think I've only seen 1 or 2 posts where someone actually posted their results with the timing control but I only maybe seen one thread where someone showed how they hooked up the timing control. It's been awhile since I seen that and I've been on so many forums in the past couple of months I can't remember where I seen that.
I'm not going to do the timing on mine so it's not something I've been keeping my eye out for.
I haven't seen anyone complain about the timing or post issues with the timing. Lots of questions about how to do it but no complaints.
So no news is good news??

I have been to FiTech's shop twice now, talking with the guys. They said that 90% of their customers are not using the timing, boost or nitrous control. This is why they were coming out with the Go Street at the lower price, as this would cover a large majority of customer needs.

I look at this as an electronic carb that I don't have to tune (as I suck at tuning carbs). Easier starts, no choke to deal with, will change for altitudes and should be fairly hands off once setup. I'll leave my timing control exactly how it would be if I was running a carb, letting the distributor handle this.

90% who are thinking about getting a TBI EFI already have a nice distributor.
My distributor is a 70's GM HEI.
If I find I need a new distributor, I might as well buy one I can have controlled by a computer.
I guess I'm in the 10% group.

I think I picked up from the thread that this Johnny guy was with Pace, but then again, I may have missed that. So, this Johnny guy has given some pretty good info, but now I guess he's talking he's only going to share info via private message.

I've been following that one also (internet whore) and I really don't blame him. He is a salesman and probably gets a commission, so those who ask a bunch of questions that order from somewhere else would also make me butt-hurt. At least they could of gone to him first and then gave him the chance to get the units earlier.

Called FiTech and they are not 50 state legal. I want onefor my 85 GMC in California and was told by Brian at fiTech that anytihng with a modifiable ECU is not 50 state legal so I cannot use this unit. Guess I`ll have ot stick to my plan of going with a GM set up.

You don't have to run the command center if you have a pump (electric) that can flow enough for it.
The command center is for those who want to keep their stock fuel pump and not install a electric fuel pump.
