Arrow Need help on Rear Axle? Don't know what it is.

I have a 1973 GMC 25 Hundred Super Custom. I know it says 3/4 ton truck but here's the problem the Rear Axle supports a 5th wheel hitch in the back of the bed. I will post pictures, I have the rear axle manufacture numbers but that's it. It has an 11.24 Drum, And napa still can't figure out what it is. Can I get some help guys? Its a 14 bolt. I though it looked like a 1 ton Single rear end. But I could be wrong.

3/4 and 1 ton are pretty much the same rear, just the 1 ton has bigger breaks. I believe 11" or 13" are the options for breaks...

The one tons had 2.75? x 12" & 3.5" x 13"

If it has the 11" brakes odds are it is a 3/4 ton rear. you can also tell by the spring plate mounts the 1 ton is different then the 3/4 ton. But other then that they are the same.

Re: Need help on Rear Axle? Don't know what it is.

found out that the rear is a Heavy Duty 3/4 ton. And the parts store still thinks that 1 ton break shoes will fit it. :/ So I called up the NAPA store and they had my parts ready this morning. so you all might get better pictures of the new truck soon
