67gmc big block?

anyone know what is needed to fit a bigblock into a 67 gmc and have it work nicely?

Subscribed...as i am also putting a 454 in my 67... so far I have bought some 72bbc motor mounts,4row radiator, and rad hold downs. I have a 6banger in there now...what do you have??

i have the 72 mounts also a rebuilt 700r4 and 425 horse 1968 396

Make sure that Overdrive tranny is up to the task of handling over 400 hp and lots of torque.

Hay Gary HP has very little to do with the 700R4 its the torque. them alum teeth inside the case that holds the sprag in to much torque is like you opening you mouth and putting you teeth on the cement and having some one kick you from the back of the head.the alum teeth in the case don't like Lots of torque small blocks can't push out that much But the stoker 383 or the destroyed 377 will rip teeth off the 700R4 but the 400 man you will blow2 up the engine before you hurt that trans

the trans has been built to hold up if not i happen to have a couple of spares sitting on a shelf and a wall of parts
thanks to everyone for the info this truck has been a dream of mine since i was a child once the drive train is finished off i will get onto the body
