Guys...what about these? Especially, the last one because I might paint my truck black. It's the same wheel just different finishes. I may go for the same look as the vehicles in the pics...black hoops with brushed faces.

That's what I need to hear....the truth. Thanks! Because it's kinda hard trying to envision a wheel on a truck in your head. But, by asking and getting a collective opinion better helps me in the thought process. Remember guys, I'm not sensitive at all, so let me know.

Re: Intoducing "Project...Oooh Weee!"

mmm.. for me i would do the m3 wheel 20 in front an 22 in rear.
2nd choice is the tach wheel....
the tach wheel is a classic 5 spoke wheel with more detail but the m3 wheel is almost classic but custom/retro at the same time and would stand out more..
something like this to give u an idea...

Gixxerpimp...I must admit I'm really partial to HRE's. I love them. I have them on my Chevelle and guys love them because there aren't many "old schools" with them. You mainly see them on Bentley, Benz's, etc. To be honest, I love these two HRE wheels probably the most guys. What y'all think?

Re: Intoducing "Project...Oooh Weee!"

Go with that last one! The ones with black highlights look cool enough on Jon Moss's Camaro, but not right for our trucks, IMHO. Your last option, with the 5 "double spokes" is dang sharp!

Re: Intoducing "Project...Oooh Weee!"

Hey, wassup Gixxerpimp? Thanks for asking. Naw, no updates as for as actual work done to the truck. But, I got some cool parts though. I got an original, flawless takeoff tailgate from a very popular boardmember here (who I'll name later), 2 NOS GM fenders, a NOS GM hood and my Porterbuilt IRS C4 Dana 44 Dropmember should be here within the next few weeks. I hadn't ordered my wheels yet as I had planned to a few months ago. I got twin boys starting college this fall and it is costing me way more than I thought. So the truck has to take the back burner for now. Pics of the parts coming soon though. Over and out!!

Re: Intoducing "Project...Oooh Weee!"

Guys, what's up? It's been a minute since I've checked in. Well' I'm back!! I had to put my project on hold due to twin boys starting their freshman year in college. That set me back $7k. And I have to pay another $7k for the spring semester. Now, it is Christmas time and end of the year property taxes. Nonetheless, I still have made some progress on my truck. I have been buying and aquiring parts. I need to ask you guys a question. I just ordered my rear C4 Dropmember from Nate. But, he asked me if I would like round tubing or square. So, I told him to give me a few days to think about it before he starts making it. I am now no longer going to use the stock frame. I am going to make a custom frame going foward from the rear C4 Dropmember. What do you guys think will look more nicer...2x4 square tubing or double-stacked, round tubing for a full frame? I will tell you I like the round tube idea alot more. I just want to make sure the rest of the frame will not cost me an arm and a leg to have made by my shop guy. Take a look at the pic to give an idea of what I meant by "double-stacked." The pic is not a truck frame nor is it mine. I just used it for reference.

Re: Intoducing "Project...Oooh Weee!"

I love the look of the round tubing, but i think the square would be much easier to work with, but you could do square frame and all of the DM's and everything on the frame be round !! and whoever's chassis that is is killer

I'd love to see one of our truck's chassis all out of round with all the tubular PB stuff on it...would be SICK!!!

Re: Intoducing "Project...Oooh Weee!"

that chassis is nice!! def something different from the norm. but i agree with 67cheby, the square frame would seem easier to work with.

i still vote round tube frame...thats just too cool!
