Re: ‘Herding Turds’ - Post em up when you dragged them in

I'm in the process of getting this gem home. A buddy of mine told me where a few trucks were and this one's the best of the bunch. Been sitting for years, grandma shot out the side window, all that good stuff. But it was cheap. As soon as I can get the passenger front wheel loose from the tree stump, I'll get it home.

Looks like it might have got some sort of skin disease being in the forest to long

Both of those trucks were Supers, I got in a package deal back East
One of my worst deals ever !
When the trucker showed up he wanted an extra $100, so he could clean all the oil, and tranny fluid that had leaked out of the blue truck onto his windshield. He told me the truck didn’t have enough power on its own to get up there, so a bunch of guys helped push it there...I’ll have to climb up there and hold the brakes while he pulls me off with the other yellow POS I bought that barely runs also.

No doubt. When I grabbed the passenger door handle and yanked hard to open it, it came off in my hand.......the door.

Re: ‘Herding Turds’ - Post em up when you dragged them in

Receiving my 1972 K20 after having it shipped from out of state after much anticipation.

Relocating my 1972 Camaro from AZ to CO when I moved last summer.

Dragging my Ochre CST home when it was in pieces from Phoenix.

Recently bringing home my one owner dark olive CST from Northern Utah in December. Nearly had a conniption with all the salt they use on the roads in UT.

Re: ‘Herding Turds’ - Post em up when you dragged them in

May of 2014, I didn't think I had bought a turd but wasn't sure. Truck came from Idaho, I live in Indiana. I purchased off Ebay without physically seeing or inspecting truck. Fortunately the seller had represented it honestly. Photo is it arriving from Idaho. That was many $$ ago.

Re: ‘Herding Turds’ - Post em up when you dragged them in

The 68 I picked up in SC drove 13 hours to get it . The 77 went to Michigan for it . My 72 I drove home as it was local. It had just been brought to NY from Washington state. The 68 hadn't been on the road since 96 I bought it in 2019 , the 77 about 6 months later

Never bought a turd though . Guess I did pay for mouse turds .

My 72 when I bought it

Cool Re: ‘Herding Turds’ - Post em up when you dragged them in

Here is my 1969 C/20 parts truck I bought off the head of maintenance at the college I used to attend in 2010. Where it was all 4 split rim wheels were on the ground barley holding air (but they aired right up and held). It was parked out by an old weathered Quonset hut covered in tons of tall grass, moss, them wild sunflowers and milk weeds. To get to it he had to get out his old Ford Jubilee tractor and mow round it then drag it out of it's former resting place. It was the mice equivalent to the playboy mansion . It had one of those late 70's early 80's aluminum toppers on it complete with shagadelic carpet in that brownish green color. Here are some pics about a week after I dragged it home and removed the topper yes, that was the original bed floor, the cab was rusted, filled the carb full of gas put a battery in it, it hadn't run since 2002 but I turned the ignition over and, the 350 fired right up.

I didn't drag mine but in 2014 when I bought it drove it 900 miles home without a hitch from South Dakota to the Great White North.

Here are a few I pulled out of purgatory. I only own one of these today, but I really wish I could keep them all. I'll be bringing home another in a couple weeks, I got no business really doing this, but I can't help it!
