WTB 55-59 V-8 bellhousing

Hi All, been awhile since I posted.

I just got a 283 for my 57 3600, and am looking for an original bellhousing that is set up for the original starter pedal.

I want to pull the 235 out and swap in the 283 to get a few more horses, and dual exhaust.

I'd like to keep it original as possible. (4 speed, starter pedal, motor &trans mounts)

So,... am I looking for the holy grail, or is it possible to locate one????

If anyone can steer me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Redline_chevy

My original 59 3100 with a 283 used the key switch start and never had a starter pedal. I'm sure 58's and 59's was this way for the V8 and the 6 used the starter pedal.

I have a 58 and 59 3100 and both had the 283 V-8 with key start, and I also had a '57 and it was key start V-8. I do have a bellhousing I will sell, I only need one and both trucks were complete.

55-59, V-8 key start, 235 floor button. Not sure if it is the same for the automatics.

How much are you asking for it, and i was also wondering if all the linkage comes with it?.

Talking Bell housing and Key Start Ignition

V-8s were all Key Starts. I have a few of the Bellhousings and sell the mount pads, and have the clutch fork, the clutch mechanism with spring, pedal, pedal pad etc. As well as new ignition switches wiring harness etc. Send me a PM with a list of the parts you will need. rico_bob
