Re: Normy71

I don't think I've seen this done on a leaf spring truck, you seem to be short on bumper bracket room. Hmmm.

LOWBUK is a leaf truck and all worked out just fine! I just don't remember what I had to do but I think it was just a matter of drilling new holes in the rails.

Progress is looking good!

Re: Normy71

So will you be able to put a bumper on your truck or are you going to roll pan, cause I will be cutting mine in the same place as I have leaf springs also. I'm just curious as I want bumper but looks like
i may need to go roll pan.

Re: Normy71

Time to start putting the front end back together.
I need to order a few more parts, never ending trips to the part store!
But worth it.

Re: Normy71

Looking good!.. Are you going to use the stock exhaust manifolds that came with your LS engine? Is that a trucks 5.3?

Re: Normy71

Yes it is a 5.3 all aluminums L33
I would like a set of headers but not sure if they are in the budget?
If that word (budget) can be used in a frame up build.

Re: Normy71

Judging from your pics it looks like you are going to have to do some frame trimming in order to fit the stock manifolds, Ive been looking at some headers for my application but, man they are pricey (sometimes more than what Ive paid for a complete drivetrain) they sure look nice though...
