Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries

Lots of swb C10s, some heavily modified, but I guess those are indeed the best sellers. But, these are the ones that jumped out at me -
The GMC reminds me of Skrenly's.
The 75 K20 has 5900 orig miles.
The 54 was (supposedly) an actual forest service truck.
The Blazer in Post #5 above is sweet too - nice Highlander.

I'll go the BJ for more pics later but pretty sure the silver 70 Blazer above was formerly owned by a board member and is a TOTM winner. I actually passed on buying that when it was listed on my local CL while in MT. Quality build. See build here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=645076

Quite a few nice original trucks in there. That '75 K20, oh my! Kinda sad to see Tootsie, in there. That poor thing has been passed around like a hot potato after getting sold by the builder.

Wow, 19K. If rust "free" that's going to bring a mint.

Boy, you aren't kidding the 67-72 brigade was in full force at BJ. We were there Saturday and there are some top-notch trucks this year! We've been going to that auction for years and this is by far has the most trucks. The short beds have the most present. The 67 'burb was also really cool; it was a magazine truck too! Here are a couple pics.

Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries

an orange/white 70 k10 went for 125k on sunday. saturday was the big hitters day so the 70 made the biggest sale on sunday. it looked to be original.

most all of the custom 67-72 c10 trucks went for anywhere between 40k-60k with a few going above and below. there were a surprising amount of 71-72's compared to 67-70's though.

I was watching Mecum on tv a couple weeks back and saw some nice trucks sell for big money. But they did look very nice and well done.

The hammer prices were astronomical this year. I believe the $125k swb k10 was a bidding war between two people that apparently really, really wanted it. It was only a base trim truck that was lifted with big ol tires - and no way to know if it was originally a swb k10, but at least they didn’t stick Super badges on it and call it a Super. But I was stunned at the price to be honest. I’ll refrain from saying what I thought it was worth because 1) that’s irrelevant and 2) it was clearly worth at least 120k to two people. Two very stubborn people. I bet the builder/seller was doing backflips! But, this was a trend this year - many many trucks went for a lot more than I would have guessed. Good news for sellers, bad news for buyers. It’s like playing the stock market nowadays, you just never know.

$137,500, I believe with buyer's premium.
