is this a 1977 V22 Chrome grille?

This is the grille on my '77 C10. The SPID calls out a V22 Chrome grille. Is that what this is? It does have the horiziontal bright trim, not sure if its stainless or aluminum (how would you polish it?). Looks like it had black paint down the center of trim. Any pics of a pristine '77 Chevy V22 chrome grille would be appreciated.

I think V22 in 1977 Chevrolet grills as with 1978 and 79 meant stainless horizontal trim bars. V22 doesnt mean chrome just means top optioned. GMC was different too with their V22 option grills.

Re: is this a 1977 V22 Chrome grille?

To clarify, Chevrolet V22 meant 3 bars:1 upper LH, 1 upper RH and a lower.
GMC V22 meant 2 horizontal stainless bars in 77-79 only, then in 1980 GMC V22 meant a chromed grill and you DID NOT get stainless horizontal bars-instead they were carbon steel bars painted to match the dominant color of the truck as an accent. All v22 GMC grills 77-80 had the plastic chromed center emblem tho.

1975/76 GMC grills also had a optional pair of horizontal stainless trim bars but I’m not 100% if it was referred to as V22 then or not-and 1973/74 Chevrolet and GMc had chromed accent optional grill trims-were those V22? Maybe somebody has a SPID to verify...?

Re: is this a 1977 V22 Chrome grille?

Thanks, that's a '77 GMC chromed grille, V22 per your SPID. It appears mine is a Chevy V22 grille, as it has the horizontal stainless bars. And the Chevy V22 grilles all looked the same otherwise 77-79?
