Sway bar bushings
So, I got my hands on a later 70’s sway bar and spring caps from wrecker. Bought new bushings. However, I can’t find anyone in town to push the new ones into place. They’ve been trying with a press but no luck. They’ve phoned around and no one seems to have the tool or machine to do this anymore? Any suggestions?

Are you talking about the ones that go in the ends of the sway bar?
Like here?   I used a 2 piece urethane bushing. One half in on one side, the other half in through the other side. .

You could freeze the bushings over night then when you go to install...lube the hell out of everything and press them in.
Some reddy rod or large bolt and 2 sockets, one the same size as the bushing and one slightly larger than the orafic the bushing is being pressed into. Thread the reddy rod through the center of everything and tighten away. "should" press in.

A spring shop can't deal with bushings anymore?
