Re: c30's lets see em flat beds, dumps or flat bed dumps.

A good friend of mines 71 C30 flat bed all original was a farm truck. Also looking to lower the truck, is it fine to just remove the rear block and have the leafs on the axle? Thanks.

Otis all retrofitted with 86 14 bolt rear and front disc brake conversion, like driving a new truck.

These are all beautiful trucks. I have a preference for the working trucks though. It surprises me that these trucks can do what they do. The loads they handle seem like a bit much for the frames, but they do it.

My brother and I just after I got the conversion done, went out to the airport and filled his 300 gallon tank with AV gas (1800#) and you hardly knew it was there.

That second photo with the Golden Gate in the background looks like it could have been a Chevrolet add for it's trucks back in 71-72. Great Shot, nice truck.

I have yet to use mine for anything more than moving a long block. I am still in awe of their capability. These 30's are like tug boats. I spent an inordinate amount of time beefing up my frame with additional cross-member and angle braces. It's rock solid but I guess they were fine as is.
