Headers with column shift?

All the ls swap kits I’m finding say the headers won’t work with a column shift. Is there a solution to this other than a floor shift? I’m know there are trucks out there with column shifts and headers. Will shorty headers work? I really don’t want to do a floor shift. FYI:

Re: Headers with column shift?

I'm running the Speed Engineering long tube headers and have the column shift auto. Lokar linkage with no issues.
