Re: 1972 GMC four door crew cab?

Yeah,no apologies necessary.I don`t see any arguing anyway.I see us discussing out this topic. Some are questioning, some are explaining, and some are giving thier opinions. This is how we learn more about these trucks.

Isn't the 4 door by rockcrawlin for sale? Thought that he was trying to thin out the herd.

I don't think that truck is for sale, it belongs to extd56. Rok did all the metal work on it.

I thought the 4 door burb was for sale. If I had the money it sure wouldn't be for sale any more.

His SWB is for sale, because he needs something that can handle more weight.

Re: 1972 GMC four door crew cab?

Great looking GMC. If you are keeping the GMC nose on it, you will have to change the right front fender. It is a 69-72 Chevy fender and will not accept the GMC eyebrows. WES

Re: 1972 GMC four door crew cab?

there's a guy on here that lives in vacaville that has an orange 2 door crew cab that I saw at a show here in oroville. It's a sweet looking truck, there was a threat about it awhile back when someone spotted it on the streets of reno during hot august nights. I'll see if I can find some pics.

Here found some info on the truck I was talking about the member's name is extd56 and here is his ride. He told me that It started as a 69 stretched 2 door GMC 3/4 ton and he turned it into this:

Re: 1972 GMC four door crew cab?

My brother Picked this 68 chevy crew cab today. We thought that they never built any that looked this way. We thought that the only ones that were built were the ones that have two sets of pickup doors. The guy he bought it from said the the original owner contacted GM and they referred him to have a guy in Mississippi build this truck and another one when they were new. Does anyone know who the builder might have been?
