Re: Greyghost 1971 C10 l83/6l80E Build

I"m using the OEM fuel lines and will have the trans lines made. Just bought a 31 gallon Sub/blazer fuel tank and reworked it today to accept the OEM fuel pump. Just used two lock rings and tack welded bolts on the one that goes into the tank. The fuel pump has everything on it so plumbing will be easy. Got the tank (new) and straps for $50. Had to drive 200 miles to get it. Your build really looks good!

I’m using the factory lines (luckily) all the way up to the core support. I will cut them with a tube cutter and install compression fittings with a barbed end to mate to a hydrolic hose to the respective cooling inputs. I’d image you can take your original connector, 5/16 steel line (bend it neatly), have that mates to the connector with the same concept. I’ll have to take picture but the factory lines run pretty well up to where I need them.

You mentioned headers in one of your posts. Do you have company and item number? Just got my engine in, then took a long nap.

Re: Greyghost 1971 C10 l83/6l80E Build

Back at it after a long layoff:
Harness has been shipped off to have reworked, installed oil cooler block off plug, and removed the hard transmission lines and installed some an6 braided hose with adapter from ICT billet.
Have the fuel system 100 percent plumbed with an6 braided lines. Installed a walbro 255 using the PA tanks retrofit module. This is running up to a magnafuel fuel pressure regulator.
Also have an 190 degree fan switch so that I can use my own choice of electric fans and will combine that with a trinary switch when I install the vintage air sure fit.

Howell, if you have already ict bill has the trans line adapter that would allow you to run an6 or an8 hose to a cooler. Very simple and not expensive.

Re: Greyghost 1971 C10 l83/6l80E Build

4 core radiator installed, intake drilled and tapped for pcv system, just waiting on Ecu and harness in the mail. I made my own truck harness and relay box with the headlight mod and deleted the voltage regulator.
