Re: F/S Bed Wood for 67-72 SWB Fleetside

my rough shipping quote to 17042 on fedex was $67 for two or $50 if you double up the boxes...

If we can get it to $200ish shipped then i'm interested...

I'll see what i can come up with, Mike ! I'll check to see if DHL has ceased operations yet. I've used them plenty of times in the past on bulky, heavy packages and they always blew Fed Ex and UPS rates out of the water.

If you don't mind dropping off/picking up at the bus station, check shipgreyhound.com. They are usually cheapest on the big stuff. I usually use DHL for big stuff but the last time I got a quote from them they were alot higher.

Re: F/S Bed Wood for 67-72 SWB Fleetside

Hey guys, these boards are no longer for sale as i have just cut them to allow for my wider wheel tubs. I figured i'd go ahead and see how these look since the stain that i'm using is actually black. Its worth a shot. I figure no use spending the money on oak when i really wont be able to see the grain. At least not without looking at it up close.

Thanks to all whom have inquired about them !

I'll be sure to get some for you, Mike ! I'm just hoping it turns out like i think it will. I picked up a semi gloss spar urethane to apply after i get the tint i'm looking for with the stain. I didnt want to go all gloss since the inner bedsides will be black basecoat/clearcoat and also my bed strips are polished stainless. I'm thinking this will break it up a bit.

Wish me luck ! Hopefully i'm not just ruining a perfectly good set of boards !

If you go to Greyhound get the shipping quote in writing and have them also write it on the box and sign it. They tend to change up when you come back!!!
