Started doing the bodywork on my 71'. Hopefully get it done this week and have it ready for paint in the next week or so.

well i got a buncha stuff done on mine through the week and put my brothers jeep the rest of the way back together now playing the waiting game till my rockers and cab corner gets here as well as the rest of the cab rubber.got paint laid down on the fenders the inside of the cab is primed and ready for paint and clear coat. doors are still in bare metal as well as the hood and havent touched the bed yet. im hoping to have it all done within 2 weeks is nothing majorly bad happens. i have to go get another gallon of primer monday and hopefully by midweek the cab will be done and totally painted and get the bed done within another week

A whole lotta nuthing!Late in the week I got my rear end rebuild stuff,new ball joints and a few other little things.I made a call to the blasters/painters to see how the frame and all is comin (next week they say

Planned on doing more, but my wife had to work so I spent time with my son most of the day. Did get a little sanding on the bed of the 70 and patched a bad spot I found during the sanding. Watched everything turn yellow from pollen. The 96 looks like mountain dew barfed all over it. Head feels as bad as the 96 looks. Oh well the privileges of living in the south I guess.

I was happy to take delivery of my 72 K20. Got her in garage and looked over with the shop light. In better shape than I originally thought. I think the doors are salvagable. Bottoms look good. Lower outer skin should fix them.

Found seatbelts and pulled them through the seat. Me and daughters took her for a spin to the lake and watched about 200 Canadas coming in for the night. Kids loved it.

Took GPS along with us and the spedo is running about 10 MPH slow. Pulls about 3200 RPM doing 55 MPH. Not bad for 4.10's with 265 BFG Mudders.

Discovered the interior lights don't work. Dash and dome are out. But headlights work. Brake lights kind of work (one). and only one blinker works. Brakes show no signs of sticking like when I test drove.

All things considered I'm really pleased with this purchase. Many thanks to all on this board for the suggestions and advice on this one. I think I got a very good truck. I'm going to spend rest of the week cleaning her up and inspecting all those nooks and crannies. Working on my game plan...

Today I washed the 69 ,put my new (to me)beadlock's and bogger's on the yota,started the body work/steak pocket shave on my 72 for the 2nd time gotta stop finding bed's that are in better shape than what I have, as this is the second time I have filled the steak pocket's on the same damn truck just different bed.. And phil came over to show off his new ride very very very clean truck has got to be one of the cleanest non-restored trucks of this vintage that I have ever seen..

I got my wire gremlins fixed last week so I drove it to the swap meet Saturday and watched my gas gauge sinking ?? Popped the hood to see a lose fitting on the carb line... and a puddle on the manifold, thank the Big Guy up above my motor runs very cool. Drove it home and now no headlights! Another rainy weekend

i was no call at work this weekend.saterday i left the house at 3am and got back home at 6pm.Today I pulled the fornt seats in the blazer to replce them with a nice set.I was tried so that is as far as I got today.

Gots lots done. Put wiper blades on the Suburban, Replaced the defroster vents on the Suburban, Put new brakes on the rear of the 72 3/4ton Jimmy.
Got new rockers for the JImmy at the swapmeet and wiring harness also.
Planning getting the front brakes done on the Jimmy next weekend. No more pump three times and pray I hope.

i don't usually have plans for my trucks, cause of college leaving me no place to work and less money. all i had planned is clean out my white truck and start the red one and get her blood flowing (weekly ritual) didn't do either cause the Girlfriend was here so i spent alot of time with her. can't wait for summer.

I pulled the front suspension and rearend out of an '81 C-30 parts truck to go under my '67. Started cleaning them up and getting them ready to paint. Good-bye drums and 5.14 gears, Hello discs and 3.42's!! Didn't do much else besides buy a few odd and end parts getting ready for the diesel swap. I did score a nice 33,000 mile gauge cluster with air pressure gauge for $51.00 on Ebay! I also picked up a very nice set of stainless mirrors for it.

I had to buy a new chainsaw, so I could cut down this huge tree in front of my garage. The base was like 32". I had to stop work on the truck to get this tree gone, so I could grind the stump and get a slab poured. I am SICK & TIRED of working in the dirt!!!! My truck is on hold until the 18' x 40' slab is in! I did buy a clean 84 short box for $100 picture as follows..pretty good deal huh?

Painted, rebuilt, and installed the auto steering colum. pedal assembly, and brake booster. I don't ever get everything done over the weekend I plan on...I always plan to have the whole Blazer finished

On the truck, nothing. Did go to a junkyard near me though. They still have the picked over 67 C-30 flatbed and 68 GMC Fleet. The '67 only has 4 options listed.

Went home empty handed again.

Like I meet my goals on this thing. Look at my sig and the last time I updated it was well before Xmas and I am not alot further.

I did get most of the wiring done; almost rady for the battery. I still have to notch the bed support for the gas line to the tank I put in, then something temporary for getting gas into it until it gets to the paint and body shop. I have all but given up on the side marker fill; see what the paint body guy can do with it.

I can almost here it starting.

I just have some old ones I've posted before but nothing new. The camera takes lousy pics inside the garage. When I take it for emissions, I'll get some more pics outside.

Got the cab in tintable sealer. All that's left now as far as paint work goes is the outside of the cab, the cowl panel, under side of hood and side view mirrors. Then the reconstruction begins.
