It looks like we are going to have only minor damage - but we still need to get the truck out of the barn. Will hopefully do that next week.

Re: It was a - Tornado brought down the barn - But - The Circuit Rider Lives!

UPDATE ...

Hagerty is going to pay to have the equipment brought in so the barn can be raised to pull out my truck. Its cheaper to spend $2000 on equipment to pull out my truck than to have the barn collapse on my truck which would cost them $35,000.

Stay tuned for more updates ...

barn needs more "vault" like structure

just goes to show, should have been driving it lol (unless you have salted snow, then no, I'd take a barn collapse over road salt)

Dang it. Waiting to see what your truck looks like under that shed is worse than waiting to see what's in that unopened safe mentioned in a tread from a few years ago!

Good luck and I hope everything turns out in the end.

Re: It was a - Tornado brought down the barn - But - The Circuit Rider Lives!

Update ....

Hagerty is sending a check for $1900 to pay for equipment and operators to lift the barn off the Circuit Rider so she can be pulled out. So far Hagerty has been top notch.

How about including some follow up in this thread since you brought it back. I guess you did a thread with info beyond where this one left off, but that was also years ago. Reading this old thread makes me want a refresher on it's condition when it came out of the building and how the repairs worked out. Got pics?

Re: Seems Like Yesterday "Flashback Tornado"

Just reading this and I hope all turn out great. It's kind of funny reading this post now, I was up pretty much all last night listening to the wind blowing all the trees next to my pole barn. Just this pass spring a thirty five footer oak come down just close enough for the tip of the tree to hit the end cap of the gutter and crook it so slightly. All good this morning and with a little bonus, most of the leaves were blown into the woods, nice.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
