Re: Cab corner help

Best tip I can give you is to make sure you cut all the rust out but don't use the whole replacement panel if it is not needed. Be prepared to find some more rust other than the cab corner skin. You just have to deal with what you find on each particular truck. It's not that hard of a job but you get out of it what you put into it so don't rush it and call it good enough if you want lasting results.

Here are a few pictures. Keep in mind that I'm not a pro by any means.

Here I cut out a cab corner that was hacked in to the cab I bought.

This is the extra rust I had buried under the cab corner.

New inner cab corner piece.

Outer cab corner installed along with a piece of the rocker panel.

Looking at it from the underneath.

Some filler on it and taking shape.

I hope this gives you the info that you needed so you can see what it involved. There are many talented members that can help better than me.
Post up some pictures of what you have to work with.

Re: Cab corner help

Hes right cut out all of rust and cut off what you need from the patch and weld it on.When you cut the patch cut it a tiny bit bigger so you can trim it down for the prefect fit.Anyone know why they rust out tho?
