Question Blazer tailgate question...

Never had to take one off, but I am needing too now and it looks like I'm going to have to take the bumper off in order to get to the bolts on the bottom.

Is there an easier way to get this sucker off??

We just put one on. I will ask my hubby how it went....I am trying to remember. Doh! It was only 3 weeks ago! I do know that our bumper isn't on yet, so maybe it has to be off for you to take off the bumper. I will check and get back to ya!

Anyway you can get to the bolts with a wrench, thats the only way it will come off. You might not have to undo the bracket on one side, see if you can get it off with just one side undone.

Ya can get to it pretty easy, from underneath, with the bumper still on...at least on mine.

I had to remove one bolt, use a pry bar to push the bumper down, sit on the bar and then use a socket on the bottom hinge bolt.

Bolt was tight enough that I broke it off back inside the body, but I at least got the tailgate off.

Thanks for the info
