I got mine a few weeks ago and can tell you the issue with the fronts remains. The rears are no longer a problem. And yes, for the price it's worth a little machining.

just basically turning down the snout of the rotor....anything else you modify to get the wheels on and the caps to fit? love that first hand experience!

gearys....with the 5/7 drop, do you still use the factory inner fenderwells, do you have any rubbing issues with that amount of drop. are you using a
spindle spring combo up front and spring and block in the rear? thanks for the info....and once again, that's a beautiful truck, one of my favorite colors!!

With the 338s I had to shave part of the rotor to make them fit I used the brake lathe at work and they went right on.

Re: Calling all fleetsides with 20's.....lets see em please

I just bought the truck with these already on it, 20" D Centi dw19a. I'm thinking about putting some smaller Torque Thrusts on it, tho. Idk, just always preferred a smaller wheel. I'm a newb, so hopefully these pics attach ok...

Had a 72 with 338's 20x8.5 and 20x10's.
No fitmant issues what so ever. I didn't have to clearance anything. I just bolted them on. This was mid last year.

One for the stats. Two for the stance.

Oh, I forgot....1" billet spacers in the rear. The Boss 338's are the old backspacing. I don't remember what they are, but that's all they had for the 10's when I bought 'em about 2 1/2 years ago.
I'd go with 275/45 all around if I did it again. 1.25 spacers in the rear and move the 1" spacers up front. For now, I'm $ticking with what I have. Looks pretty good to me.

What backspacing you running of those? Any issues/rubbing? Sure is a beautiful stance!

I think the fronts are 5.25". The rears are 6.25". The rears are tucked under a bit which I like. No rubbing, however, the rear tires seem to be wearing a bit fast, lol.
