Re: Farm fresh project trucks !

The glove box on the black '67 was stuck and I took a few minutes today to open it and this is what I found wrapped up in old news papers . Looks like someone sent a replacement carbout for rebuild and never put it on the 6 under the hood .http://

Re: Farm fresh project trucks !

Well.. i just couldn't stand to wait till it warmed up this morning and went out to check the carb i found in the glove box nd will have to go pick up the correct fittings so it's not the one that was in the truck ,I dropped a battery in it and it turns over fine ,The lights all work blinkers too ! You have to laugh at the air hose with no clamp on the fuel pump! must have been a quick fix on race day !http:// http://http://

No clamp is necessary on the suction side of the fuel pump....

Me , I put clamps on everything just because but it's not like that's a fire hazard or anything .

You made some GREAT scores there ! .

Re: Farm fresh project trucks !

Well ... I do some barter work now and then and I still needed a couple of bench seat frames for an Idea I have of making my own set of bucket seats using 2 bench seat frames and cutting them apart and rewelding the frames to make 1 set of custom bucket seats using the stock seat frames to build them and still have them be able to fold forward but look stock And have the correct seat tracks and end up with a one of a kind design ! Well... I traded a seat rebuild to a local guy who had 2 extra seats , He sent me a picture of a seat he liked and I used his old destroyed seat to build him a new one ,The first picture is the one I matched. The rest of the pictures are the one I built for him using GM Torch Red vinyl . http://http://http://http://http://http://

Re: Farm fresh project trucks !

Well I will be looking of a 67 or 68 in the near future for my next project if anyone finds one. It needs to have a clear title for me to get it back to the great Canadian north.

Keep me in mind guys.

Re: Farm fresh project trucks !

Well... I sold the blue Gmc after saving the 4 core aluminum radiator and replacing it with a stock spare and I kept the tailgate and brackets and listed the truck on Craigslist on Friday morning and it sold in 22 minutes to a man 60 miles away and he was happy to get it , I priced it low and it sold very fast doubled my investment http:// and I still saved a few pieces off it to use on my builds .I paid $550 for it and sold it for $1100 . I just didn't want to see it parted out and now it's onto a new life .

Re: Farm fresh project trucks !

I didn't think about how much equipment my son had "borrowed " since I retired and over the last 3 weeks I had to replace to build the '67s . I had to buy a new Air compressor , Glass bead cabinet , 2 ton engine hoist and leveler , A new set of clecos just to name a few things that he has "borrowed" for his shop ... His 32nd birthday is in a few weeks and I think I already covered this years gift !http://http://http://http://

Re: Farm fresh project trucks !

Use searchtempest.com to find anything you want in craigslist ,It searches all the ads at one time starting with those closest to you .and there are a few craigslist notification sites that will email you when an item you want is posted ,I'm a terrible shopper I refuse to pay retail for anything ! I want a deal or I'll keep looking until I find one .

I'll sell you one of mine when their done ! At least you will be able to watch everything while it's being built . And not put out a penny till it's done . How would you want the truck done to get exactly what you want ? it's not like it won't sell if you change your mind.

Dang... don't hang out here much usually stay on the 47-59 side but have had several 67-72's and just noticed that were close to one another so I started reading your threads. I was hoping to get adopted by you but you already have a son taking all your tools I live in Morristown and currently building a '49 that belonged to the wife's granddad. Anyway I will try to keep up with what you have going on as it looks like you have a bunch of 67-72 trucks / parts.

Grumpy ,that seat looks great and I love what you are doing ,wish I could do it .I have a decent tailgate but we are quite a ways apart. I need to start thinning out my extra parts now that my truck is almost done.

Re: Farm fresh project trucks !

I bought this short wide bed out of Greensboro ,NC I found it with the help of another forum member paid $450.00 for it with a tail gate . Good deals are out there !http://http://

Once I collect all the original parts I need for my builds all the rest of it will be sold cheap ,I really don't have the space to keep it all . Watch for great deals coming very soon !
