bed cover question

Does this style bed cover have actual snaps or are they just designed to look that way. Id love to find one like this but dont really know if I want to drill 100 holes in my bed...

Re: bed cover question

Looks to me like they are screwed into the bed. The one on my GMC is on a frame and clamps to the bed like a camper shell. Fast and easy to take off if I need to pull the fifth wheel. It is an Extang: http://www.extang.com/docs/classicplatinum.html

Re: bed cover question

There are several manufacturers that make these bed covers ---snap onto the frames that are held to the bed with clamps--NO HOLE DRILLING. Check e-bay but make sure you get the right one for the year of your truck--ie 67-72--short or long bed. Beds are different by manufacturer---some taper in width. I have a sport master on my 2000 Z71 that I picked up at a swap meet used--for $40. The vinyl is starting to crack but--. It will probably save you 1-2 mpg on the highway verses dropping your tailgate which will actually cost you 1mpg!!!
