Doing rust repair--someone post this pic, please

I've had two of these trucks and never had one where this area wasn't rotted out, so I've never actually seen what it's supposed to look like. This is the area at the back of the third door rocker, where the door pillar, inner and outer rocker, and the floor all come together, looking at it from the inside down in that corner. My drivers side ain't great either, so is of limited value for comparison. If you have the full second seat you probably won't be able to take a decent pic. I would like to get it from the angles I took these pictures from if possible. I can come up with something on my own, but I would like to actually see what it's supposed to look like. If you are feeling really generous and have a 4x4 and a clean floor, you could also take a pic from underneath that area. I fabricated some stuff that I think is close, including the brackets that go on the end of that crossmember. Just curious to see before I start actually welding. Obviously it only helps if your truck is a clean original, meaning most likely you live west of the Rockies. Thanks in advance.

Yes, and I have some screenshots on my iPad from it. But my truck is actually in much better condition than that truck. And even if it wasn’t, like most casual hobbyists, I do not have the fabrication skills that dude does.

My truck has two serious problem areas. The first was the B pillar, and thanks to your help its done and came out very well. The area pictured above is turning out to be a bigger problem as I have so little to go on. I did sort out a couple of issues last night. The first was that the replacement 3rd door rocker was less than perfect. Also one of the quarter panel inners I had sort of guessed at and fabricated was misaligned. It’s coming together. Just seeing a pic of what it’s supposed to look like would be helpful.

I looked and I have no good pictures to help. You might get lucky and find something that helps in the link. It is where I replaced the wood floor and install folding rear seats. You might PM Richard2717. He posted some pictures of a floor he removed from a Burban he parted. Mine is a 2wd truck and currently on jack stands so I can get some pictures of the underside if you think they would help? The inside is covered with carpet and sound mat.
If all else fails you could try browsing the classifieds for Burbans being parted out. Lots of posts showing pieces cut or to be cut from trucks.

Re: Doing rust repair--someone post this pic, please

If you can get a couple pics from underneath that would be much appreciated. I only said 4x4 because it’s easier to get under. There’s no hurry, I’m still struggling with the extended outer floor/inner rocker patch for the 3rd door. The only thing available is for a pickup cab, and it’s not a good fit and has to be heavily modified.

What I’m interested in from underneath is the area between the wheel well and the back part of the third door inner rocker where it ties into the rear door pillar. Also, theres the two piece bracket that goes onto the end of the crossmember just under the front of the plywood. It has two bolts that go into the inner quarter panel, and then two more that go into the back portion of the inner rocker. It’s hard to explain but makes more sense if you’re looking at it. I appreciate all your help.

This is a link to the cross support without the floor attached. If what you need to see can't be seen in any of this, let me know and I will try to get more. I still have 2 sitting here partially cut up

Re: Doing rust repair--someone post this pic, please

Wow, great pics! Exactly what I needed. Again, thanks for all your help.

I think I will have to do this repair from the outside in. The quarter panel and 3rd door outer rocker are the only burb specific patches. I know the B pillar is exactly where it should be. So I'm going to repair the 3rd door rear pillar, tack the outer rocker in place, then hang the door and make sure it all aligns. Then make all the stuff behind and underneath fit. That's all I got at this point.
