Actually, I really like the PO1 covers. Never thought I’d ever choose them over caps - maybe the wheel depth has me leaning against caps. Either way, truck looks great.

Edit: Bare white steel wheels also look good imo

I actually like both of them on your truck. But if I was forced to choose one, it would be the PO1's. Maybe add a thin white walled tire to go with 'em. Check out C10 Kings threads, Rene goes with the PO1's with thin white walled tires.

Re: Cast your vote ---> P01 or Stainles Steel Dog Dish

In simple terms the choice is between hubcaps or wheel covers.

I don't like wheel covers on 4wds at all. I look and see a bad mistake. They just don't belong. Hubcaps almost fit there, too. People may think nice hubcaps are hard to find, but actually there have been an amazing amount of "nice" hubcaps come across the board and reason being most got popped of and put on a shelf when new. When the 4wd craze really kicked in mid-late '70s I watched the guys who bought their first 4wd new proceed to destroy their hubcaps and bumpers before knocking down a handful of payments, if not before the first one!

These days most are babied, so not such a concern. But hubcaps look right and look sensible. Wheelcovers look like they are begging for dings and scratches. And... I've always felt wheelcovers with whitewalls and hubcaps with blackwalls were the proper combinations. Dress up or dress down/deluxe or standard no matter car or truck. That's what I grew used to seeing when growing up

Rene, or C/10 King goes with medium width whitewalls, 1". They are considered narrow whitewalls compared to much wider wide whitewalls. Thin whitewalls are 3/8"-1/2". Those are what were being mounted in this era. Similar width as redwalls. The look Rene coined looks awesome

I was going to say "both" as well. That is the beauty of factory-style wheels and hubcap/wheelcovers. Go out and find yourself some other attractive looking caps and covers to really spice up your life! . I have '68 chrome and '65 GTO hubcaps for my '67. Also have a set of S15 caps with bare center area, all shiny aluminum, not painted black or grey. I also have '76-'91 GMC hubcaps and would like to find some earlier ones. I have a set each of '69-'75 as well as Monte Carlo/Highlander wheel covers since they don't have a bowtie or say Chevrolet. Oh year, then there is the set of Gentleman Jim wheel Covers. I think I'm well set on caps and covers

Chevy trucks are easier since you can expand into all the car hubcap/wheel cap choices. This truck obviously deserves original style, though

I prefer the dog dish caps myself. But, it looks good with the covers too. I say swap to the other now and then. Great looking truck by the way.

Dog dish with white wheels. It would look better when the full wheel covers are on if the wheels were painted black, like factory. At least that's how is was done on cars- body color with hubcaps, black with full wheel covers.

Re: Cast your vote ---> P01 or Stainles Steel Dog Dish

Well...............all the votes are in and they lean the same way I do ------>DOG DISH ! Put the other 2 on Saturday and love the look. The P01's went in a box for the day I feel like a change.

I do have a followup question that I hope someone can answer. The wheels were painted and were a good job, however the P01's coming on and off over the years have exposed / scraped paint off that I would like to repair. Assuming that the previous person painted them the "official Chevy wheel color", what would that be? Does someone know the color code?
