Shifter collar

Where can I get a new shifter collar for 69 Chev Pickup tilt column?
The hole at the bottom is worn and the shifter is sloppy

If you don't find one. Try: drill it out and install a bushing to bring back to spec.
There is plenty of pre- made bushings around, OR you can just make your own .

Re: Shifter collar

What kind of bushing?
How do I hold it in as the worn side is on the bottom.

Re: Shifter collar

Some good hardware stores have small metal bushings in the little pull out bins. I'm not sure if you have Ace up there but they usually have them in the little pull out drawers above the bolt bins if you hunt. You need to know the ID and probably take the pin as your sample.

JB weld will work to fill in any voids that are left ,and also hold in the bushing
