Pulled the starter and then drove all around looking for someone who had a clue to order a new one. I guess I'll keep looking tomorrow

Wish I had Jmac05's goodies, but I only installed a trailer harness and a hinge at the top of my license plate, so I don't have to take off the plate to tow. I installed the hidden hitch a year ago, and am just now doing this.

I finally broke down and admitted that there is no way I can find the correct shifter boot for my truck so I went down to the junkyard and picked up a shifter boot retainer, sandblasted it and painted it. Then I installed it with the new incorrect shifter boot I got from GMCpaul.

BTW if anyone needs a shift boot retainer for a 67-68 hi hump big block with the Close ratio 4 speed NP 435 M28 option let me know. I won't be using mine again. Its the only one I have ever seen.

Started the body work on my big blazer. Put a new 1405 and performer intake on it and some chrome stuff (air cleaner, valve covers) Anyone here know how to tune the 1405 and intake. As far as air and fuel and timming?
I also put a new distributor in my little blazer. Runs like a champ now 210,000 miles and the valve covers or anything else for that matter have not been off.

After finally getting brake lines and prop valve hooked up right(?) and bleeding yesterday -- I took off my spindles tonight to send back to gmcpaul. I got drop spindles instead of stock height like I ordered so he's sending me stock ones on his nickel. In case any of had doubts about Paul, one word . . . don't. He's top notch in every way. I highly recommend him for anything he carries. He has in me a customer for life.

Put in my new glovebox too.

After posting yesterday I went to the house, & took the tailgate off, trim, rods out, handle off, & the hinges, everthing will be getting striped down. I thought I would need a new tailgate but turns out this one can be saved, very straight, no dents, & with little dings on the inside, it feels good saving $380 for a new tailgate, hard telling what I will do tonight!

Separated the 2wd 4 speed manual tranny from the 454 and started to replace inner fender wells on my wife's car. It's an import and of all things they use plastic screws and retainers - that's pretty lame! I'll stick with my truck!

got a few things done..

wired in some under dash courtesy lights, nice and bright when you get in at night,

also put new dist. cap, rotor, module, plug wires.
Accellerator pump

Also got a slow leak in one of the tires fixed, while I was waiting for that the tire shop had a 68 rs/ss camaro for sale on their show room floor, real nice but wanted $55000 for it. I just had to laugh out loud.
