WTT NOS 4x4 hubcap

Trade only, not for sale! Looking to trade a NOS 1/2 ton 4WD nub type hub cap for a NOS 1/2 ton 4WD clip type hubcap. See pics. Please post or email with any leads.

Re: WTT NOS 4x4 hubcap

Is there any way to install the ring for the clips in your cap?

They were on eBay a few years ago. I wanted them, but not bad enough. Been looking on and off found one need one more.

Re: WTT NOS 4x4 hubcap

So that hub sticking out is a 69-72 truck and these caps are NOT what goes on 69-72 trucks. They do look similar, but I can get you a correct one for your 69-72 truck and pay you for the 61-63 correct cap you are planning to use on the wrong truck

Re: WTT NOS 4x4 hubcap

Boy you have sharp eyes Steve! Sounds like he would need a pair if in fact his truck is 69-72. Could also be that he has the wrong locking hubs on an earlier truck.

No, if he’s using that cap on his Blazer then it’s just a mis-understanding on his part - he likely has no idea there is a difference because the knock out 69-72 caps are commonly mistaken as these far rarer 60-63’s. I have sent him a PM trying to explain it all to him so cross your fingers I can swap him a set of knock outs correct for his truck for that one and get the spare from you and have a non-clip type set to work with

Bluek5 - You should realize by now how rare these 61-63 cut out 4x4 caps are and how impossible to find they are for the people like 1960chevypanel who actually own a truck they are correct for - I am pleading his case so you will do the right thing here and sell him yours - no one in their right mind who owns a Blazer they want to be worth anything or look right would waste a super rare totally incorrect hubcap desperately sought after for a totally different model in the first place when your correct 69-72 caps are easy to come by.

Will you consider 1960chevypanels predicament here and do the right thing and give up the idea of adding incorrect caps this rare to your Blazer? I am sure he would gladly procure the right caps for you as a trade with boot as well

Re: WTT NOS 4x4 hubcap

I'm pretty sure there were no painted 4wd hubcaps for 67-72s. No hubcaps at all unless the chrome ones were ordered on trucks they didn't come on. So painted 69-72s are so rare they have to be made, and I have done that. Might have to make him up a pair to get a trade going.

Re: WTT NOS 4x4 hubcap

Thanks S-K. I'm actually not fixated on bluek5's hubcap, he's not even engaged in the conversation at this point.. There are other caps out there, I'll just wait for another one to come along.

Re: WTT NOS 4x4 hubcap

Well that didn't work.
Have 1 clip style 4WD used battered and beaten 7 5/8" inner diameter
2 GMC 10 3/16" nub style Canadian issued so the center could be milled out.
1 rusted ring donor to convert the other GMC to clip style.
