Is a 2005 4L60e direct swap into a 2000?

I have a 2000 5.3 to use for an engine swap but don't have the transmission. I'm shopping for a 2wd transmission to use. Were there changes to the electrical plugs on the 2003 and later 4L60's? Pretty sure that they will swap mechanically without issue.

Hollender interchange says NO anything after 03 is different as far as the wiring goes it was like a generational change for the trucks and all the wiring is different 99-02 and 03-07

Thanks. I found a 2002 4L80e to use yesterday. Just need to figure out which flywheel/spacer I need for it.

When I actually start working on it I will. I'm currently working on my motorcycle. Just a few small mods and some color. And I've been trying to catch up with maintenance on the daily driver, which is a challenge when I'm driving it about 1400 miles a week.

The new home is slowly coming along. Cutting down a pair of giant dying willows now. Then more yard clean up (almost 7 acres). The garage is getting better to work in. Lots of new lights and outlets. Getting stuff unpacked and put away.

The big shop will be a year or two away. The 3 garages will have to do until then. ;-)
