Yessir. Looks like all the supplies made it with the man himself, Monroe.

Re: Son of Trucks are for Chickens ... Its on!

The bird decided to help me install a rear bumper on the farm truck today.

He was a little concerned when the pry bar came out to aid in fitting but I assured him that is the norm with Chinese parts.

I needed some stainless bolts for the gravel guards so we stopped short and went out to church (with a visit to Home Depot afterward). After Home Depot we also zipped over to NPD to get some lower control arm bump stops. I was delighted to find that they too were made in the people's land of China and even tore one before I got it installed. Oh joy.

We got the bumper finished off, changed the tag (in case local law enforcement is looking for the Texas truck) and called it a day.

Last pics from Monroe's visit. We took him to fight club.

He stood his ground......

And one last shot......

As soon as we get confirmation that his next host is ready, he'll be on his way!

Does Monroe have a glass beak? Did he fight well or run like a chicken?

Looked like a great match!

I've heard Monroe is an even better wrestler! Famous for his choke hold!

All right Grumpy. I just dropped off Monroe at the airport, I mean Post Office, and he is officially on his way to you. You should see him there on Friday.

He wanted some reading material but when I saw what he wanted, I said "no way." I wasn't about to get charged with sending XXX material over state lines. He's a handful so enjoy.

Wild and crazy stuff for back in ole stiff neck days. Really cutting it loose free form style. Such innovation... Revolutionary

I hope Monroe didn't hear that just as he went into the dark silent box. He may be stuck all permanent on that word about the bird. if that's the case, please take me off the list

That might be the absolute best FG episode EVER.

One time I put surfin bird (trashmen version) through my home office speakers, set the iPod to "repeat", cranked up the volume and just went outside. (And this was before that FG episode was aired). I think it was about the third or fourth repeat that I could hear my wife in the house cursing me in a manner that would make a sailor blush. She figured out what I did and was rather " upset."
