Question 2003 s10 ext. cab - front squealing

2003 Chevrolet s10 - 4.3 v6 auto

power steering, power disc brakes

ext. cab

74,xxx miles

-----

Howdy.

my folks have a S10 and the front end is squealing... or something in the front end area is squealing when you apply the brakes.

I took the wheels off and checked the pads, they are still nice and thick.

When you apply the brakes it squeals for a bit and then stops.

When you are riding along at lower speeds it squeals slightly, then it goes away as speed increases.

I'm looking for things to check.

Something needs to be lubed, maybe?

Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.
