What are your plans for Christmas..or the holidays?

...just wondering what everyone's plans are for Christmas, or the holidays?

Anyone start early with certain traditions?

As for us...usually we don't do much before probably December 10th then it seriously escalates.
That said, this year I have been working extensively and in order to launch a bit of the mood, while I work.....I have been listening to some traditional christmas music in minor increments...and its quite a nice thing.
By traditional christmas music I mean mostly fairly old or ancient stuff....not the usual music of the last 50 years.

As for decorating, prep, lights.......absolutely nothing on that front yet...lol, but I am in good spirits about it.

All good

Re: What are your plans for Christmas..or the holidays?

Ever since my wife died 2 years ago I dont decorate for Christmas , I gave most of the stuff away . I still get together with my neices and nephews and their kids . This year I did take a couple of Angels off the gift tree at work with needed gifts for local kids to shop for .Its the first time since her death for me to do that .To me Christmas is for the kids anyway .

Re: What are your plans for Christmas..or the holidays?

One of my kids will be coming up from NC for a week. We will get to spend some time with the two grandsons and my son can help me put the 350, tranny and transfer case in the Blazer. He van also help me lift the windshield frame off the vette as I have to rebuild it or have it rebuilt. I will keep him busy. I have to save some things until his muscle or those of my son-in-law are available. We will have the house decorated up for the season. I've already started listening to Christmas music on sirius - they have several channels.

...I guess the first thing would be to get through the Thanksgiving weekend, lol.

I forgot about that...in Canada we had our Thanksgiving last month so I forget the U.S has it in late November.
I also heard it is often a bigger holiday than Christmas in the U.S?...

...first things first, hopefully everyone stateside has an excellent thanksgiving!!

All good
