axle break

This is what happens when your try and burn out like an idiot with a 40 year old k/10 that is wheel hopping in the rain.

Sorry for the breakage. I guess you will build it better next time. Stock parts have a way of being the weak link.

It was wet out but starting to dry up a little bit. I thought what the hell I'll do a little burnout on the deserted road. The truck started wheel hopping and then i heard a bang. I looked at the rear tire as it was sticking out a few inches.

My truck is a 1969 with a 350 and auto trans. It has 4.11's and 32 in. tires.

OUCH! I`ve only broken front axles.It always seems to be where the wheels are spinning and one grabs.SNAP!! Are you just putting a used shaft in?If you`re getting more into it there`s chrome alloy shafts that are tougher.
