Mine needs new doors fenders and quarters.. I have the new doors just need to get the time to install and order the quarter panels. My quarters are sooooo full of bondo its not even funny...

Has anyone seen the curved piece that gets sandwiched between the panels above the tire offered as a patch panel? Or will this have to be made or taken from a donor? It looks to extend the wheel arch into the outer bed side. Or is it part of the inner bedside? That's what it looks like in the pics of your donor swb side on the sawhorses. Is it attached at the bottom of the whole outer wheel well? Did you remove the rear bed stake from your donor as to use yours for alignment? It looks that way, just wonder how you tied the rear in around that area. Sorry for the thousand questions in a row.

This will probably help you a lot.....

Here's what a Tri-Pro replacement bedside looks like:

Details on the inner bedside (taillight end):

Inner bedside...(B-pillar end):

And if you have the guts to immediately cut apart a brand new $500 part....

In that last photo, you can see that the intermediate panel you are looking for IS part of the complete bedside assembly. I only wanted the outer skins for my repairs, and I was disappointed at just how much of what I'd paid for ended up geting "wasted"..... I didn't throw them away or anything, but in reality, I only ended up using about $200 worth of the panel (on a percentage basis).

Correct, it's part of the inner bedside.
Notice the welds and the outter lip that wraps around it

No, kept the 'C' pillar intact and fit the skin around it.

Cutting out the SWB 'C' pillar here:

Make any better sense now?

I wish it was possible to just get the full outer skin, heck maybe it is possible and I just don't know about it. Seems like it would be real easy to pull them off the line before it and the inner panel got welded together. It would save someone doing this type of repair a lot of cash.

If that's the general concensus, maybe I should finish with the rest of the info.

This is how it gets finished up.

* Test fitting the front of the quaurters, this is all that get's removed, the rest of the panel is the same as a blazer.

Out in the light of day and how it turned out in the end.

May not be everyones idea of the 'best way to do it' but with what I had to work with, it was for me hands down.

I'd do it again this way too, leaving the 'b' & 'c' pillars intact worked really well.

Did you weld all the way across the top of the bed rail? Looks butted up, not holes and spot welded like down the pillar.

If you noted it sorry, the A.D.D. kicked in and I could not read every word, but I didn't see anything about it or a pic of it welded up there.

Yes, the entire seam got welded but in sections to avoid over heating.
